The Tourmalines

Each earring holds a natural tourmaline, step-cut to a 6 × 4 mm rectangle. Together they weigh 1.61 carats. Their colour moves between pink, mauve and soft purple as you turn.

Tourmaline rates 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale. The GIA's tourmaline guide explains why one stone can show several shades.

Tourmaline Drop Earrings

At 12 mm long, these drops move gently without swinging wide. The open geometric frame lets light reach the stone from every side. Tourmaline drop earrings like these suit work and evenings alike.

Why Emerald Cut Earrings

The emerald cut uses long, flat steps that show colour rather than glitter. It gives emerald cut earrings a calm, vintage look. Diamonds totalling 0.10 carats add the sparkle.

An October Birthstone Gift

Tourmaline is a birthstone for October. Pink tourmaline earrings make a thoughtful autumn birthday gift.

Care

Clean your pink tourmaline earrings with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush. Store them flat so the ear wires keep their shape.
